2016 | Two winning images. ” Hunting Games” won the Animal Beviour category and “Swinger” was runner up in the portaits category in the Natures Best Africa international awards. Lee was a keynote speaker at the Photographic Society of South Africa’s annual congress. Lee was interviewed live on television on SABC3’s Espresso, which is South Africa’s largest breakfast tv show. |
2015 | Lee’s image “African Lion and cub” was selected as one of 100 large-format prints exhibited at the Smithsonium Institute from nearly 500,000 images submitted over 20 years by photographers from around the globe for the annual Nature’s Best Photography: Windland Smith Rice International Awards. Once again, Lee was invited to be a keynote speaker at the annual Canon Roadshow which toured the major cities of South Africa. His images ” Approaching storm” and ” My World” were highly honoured in the Natures Best Africa international awards and Exhibited in the Iziko South African Museum. |
2012 | Finished 4th overall for the year, in the Impala Trophy for the Photographic Society of South Africa |
2011 | Lee was awarded a Fellowship to the Photographic Society of South Africa Lee was awarded his Artiste honours by the International Federation of Arts and Photography. Two of his images were awarded top honours in the Windland Rice International Awards where Lee won both the African Wildlife Category and the People in Nature Category and a third image was highly honoured in the Small World category. Two of these images went onto being exhibited in the Smithsonium Institue in Washington D.C. Spoke at the Smithsonium Institute. Lee was a keynote speaker for Canon on their annual Roadshow around South Africa presenting my images to hundreds of photographers at all the major cities. |

2008 | Lee was the individual gold medal winner of the F.I.A.P (International Asscociation of Arts and Photography) International Nature Biennial. In the Fuji Photographic awards – Golden Dust Bath finished runner up in the Birds Category |

In the worlds most prestigeous wildlife photographic competition, the Veolia BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year, Lee’s image “Eyes in the Oasis” was Highly commended in the animal portrait category from over 28000 entries worlwide and was exhibited in the British Natural History museum before touring the world in an international exhibition.
